The PODpartner app (on Shopify) allows you to easily add customizable options to your products without any coding knowledge and other paid Shopify product customizers, helping you save both time, money and effort.

How to add personalized print-on-demand apparel to my store?: Adding personalized print-on-demand apparel to your store with PODpartner is simple. Just follow these steps:
1. Select your apparel: Choose a product from the catalog to make customizable.
2. Design your product: Use the PODpartner Design Creator to add text or images and activate customization. This enables customers to upload their own designs on Shopify.
3. Publish to your store: Complete the setup for variants, pricing, and descriptions, and then publish the product to your store.
4. Provide clear customization instructions: Edit the product page to give customers clear guidance on how to customize their design. If you sell customizable products on Shopify, after uploading them to the store, you can set the product page customization details directly in the PODpartner dashboard. You can also adjust the customization section's display settings within the Shopify admin.

Does the lead time for custom orders differ from that of regular orders?: No, the lead time for custom orders is the same as for regular orders at PODpartner. Customization does not cause any delay in production. (Our historical data shows that 98% of orders are completed within 48 hours.) Please note that production time doesn't include shipping, which will vary depending on your chosen shipping method and destination.

Can I add a placeholder design to a customized product to illustrate the customization options?: Yes, you can add a placeholder design to showcase the customization options. However, we recommend that you fully understand our guidelines before adding a placeholder design to customizable products on Shopify. Custom layers are optional for your customers, allowing them to either personalize the product or keep your default design. If customers don't upload their own image or enter custom text, the product will be produced with the default design you provided. If you choose to use placeholder text or images as the default, it's important to provide clear instructions on the product detail page to ensure customers don’t accidentally place orders with the placeholder content.

What should I consider when setting up custom layers for my products?: When setting up custom layers for your products, please carefully confirm all settings including font details (size, style, position, and alignment) and image specifications (maximum size and position). Be sure to consider the color variations of the clothing and adjust the font and image colors accordingly to maintain optimal contrast and visibility.
Please note that once these settings are finalized, customers will not be able to modify them in the customization tool.

Can my customers customize embroidery on clothing?: No, embroidery cannot be set as a custom layer. Currently, custom layers only support DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing at PODpartner. Although customers cannot customize embroidery themselves, embroidery can be included as part of your default design and coexist alongside DTG custom layers.
